Over the past few weeks, Stage 3 have been learning about fractions, percentages and decimals in our maths group. We’ve learnt how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimal numbers, and calculate simple percentages. To conclude the unit, we became detectives, searching for clues as to how fractions, decimals and percentages are used in real life. We discovered that they are used in recipe books, when telling the time, whilst shopping and when working with money.
